Nine Inch Nails have been announced as the replacement for Foo Fighters at the Boston Calling music festival, taking place over Memorial Day weekend from May 27-29 at the Harvard Athletic Complex in Boston, MA.  The addition of Nine Inch Nails marks the band’s first time on the road in four years. The Foos had previously announced the cancelation of all upcoming performances following the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins.

Boston Calling will be headlined by NIN on Friday, The Strokes on Saturday, and by Metallica on Sunday.  The headliners will lead a lineup of both regional acts and globally recognized music stars, including sets from Rüfüs Du Sol, Weezer, HAIM, Glass Animals, Run The Jewels, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Avril Lavigne, Black Pumas, Modest Mouse, Goose, Cheap Trick, Oliver Tree, EARTHGANG, Orville Peck, The Struts, and more.  Boston Calling recently announced a new stage, the Tivoli Audio Orange Stage, specifically dedicated to performances by local and regional music artists.
