Last night a handful of heavyweight artists, making up what could the year’s most surprising bill, played a special concert in Times Square for Worlds AIDS Day.

U2 rallied and showed up, despite an injured Bono, and tapped Coldplay‘s Chris Martin as their frontman for “Beautiful Day” and “With or Without You.” Bruce Springsteen also joined the band during the finale of the show to sing “Where the Streets Have No Name” and “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For.”

Meanwhile, Kanye West delivered a nonstop flow of classics including “Power,” “Jesus Walks,” “Black Skinhead,” “Stronger,” and “Touch the Sky.” And Carrie Underwood sang her standouts “Change” and “Something in the Water.”
