We last heard from The Lumineers with the release of a song they wrote for The Walking Dead, “Visions of China.”

But soon, we’ll be hearing a whole lot more from them because the Denver folk rock band is at work on their sophomore album, the followup to their 2012 self-titled debut.

The band announced the news on their Instagram today, where they posted a photo of lead singer and guitarist Wesley Schultz along with the caption, “Well folks, we are back in the studio, chippin away at some new ideas. It’s been one hell of a ride so far and we are excited to be writing again. Thanks and stay tuned…”

Since the release of The Lumineers, the band has signed to Dualtone Records in North America and Decca/Universal abroad. In a press release, Dualtone GM Paul Roper issued the statement, “”We consider The Lumineers and their team as family and we are thrilled to be continuing our partnership forward with their sophomore album. The early songs we have heard are proof that they are writing material every bit as compelling as the tracks from their debut. This record will be well worth the wait.”
