99Rock Music News:  Muse Says Their Live Show Is Inspired By Nine Inch Nails

Primed to rock as headliners as Coachella, Muse has one of the world’s most jaw-dropping live shows that includes a plethora of lights, lasers, and loud instruments.

It’s exactly the way a stadium rock show should be. Many up-and-coming artists are inspired by Muse, but who is Muse inspired by?

Drummer Dominic Howard confessed that they took a lot of live show cues from Nine Inch Nails.

“I’ve always been a huge fan of what NIN have been doing with their live show because they’ve always been a band,” said Howard told VH1. “Over the last ten years or so, who’ve been really on the edge of technology and pushing just the kind of technology that’s available to them at that time and I think all their shows have been really, really inspiring.”

Imagine a double headlining bill with these two bands. That would be an ear-ringing and certain deafness that we’d be willing to live with.

Jane’s Addiction singer Perry Farrell is always dabbling in something–or creating full-blown examples of artistic expression like the infamous Lollapalooza.

These days, the provocative singer-songwriter has ambitions to create an EDM musical that he hopes will have a long run in Las Vegas.

According to an interview with Rolling Stone, the musical will take place in Thailand and be calledKind Heaven. A “love story with a very modern scenario,” the audience will get to interact with the show that is set “amidst Thailand’s sex and drug trades, as the government bring sin soldiers to restore order.”

At some point, the love story unravels at a Buddhist monastery, which is where the title of the musical comes from.

Farrell will start testing some of his tracks during DJ sets, but something tells us with Farrell behind the wheel, this musical will come to fruition. Maybe it will star his hot dancer wife Etty Lau?
